Fire Recovery Benefit for Two Ghosts Vinyl Café of Turners Falls

March 21 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Please enjoy the music of The Babbling Brook, Karen Brooks, and Annie Hassett at a fundraiser for Two Ghosts Vinyl Café of Turners Falls, which suffered a fire shortly before opening. Donations will be accepted!

From the Two Ghost’s Facebook page:

First and foremost, we are so very sorry about the delay in our opening. We truly thought we would be open at this point, and in fact we passed our final inspection on Monday, March 2nd at 1PM. The following morning at 5AM, there was a fire at the back of our shop. Thankfully, no one was hurt in any way, and the Turners Falls Fire Department and all other emergency responders were incredible, both in their professionalism and their kindness and support. Luckily, nothing in our store burned, but there was considerable extinguisher and smoke damage. Since then, a wonderful local clean-up crew is getting us back to as we were the day before this happened (we didn’t lose any of our inventory of Vinyl, CDs or Cassettes but have probably lost a good amount of electronics that we are currently replacing). Sadly, insurance companies tend to slow these things to a crawl at times, which has left us chomping at the bit to get down there so we can meet you all.

This has been a traumatic time for us, and our spirits are definitely fragile, but we are remaining focused (and working from home every day, with relevant things to get us going) on creating a lovely, welcoming, and cultural space for you all. So far, we have built new collaborations with the amazing Dry Humor, New City Brewery (for their incredible NA Ginger Beer!), Soundscape Merch, Modest Mix Teas, and more!

Spring is nearly on us, so we are living in the belief that this was meant to be our time to climb into the world, with fresh eyes and hearts, with an offering of change in a world that desperately needs some good news.

We can promise you this: our sober-drink offerings are going to be on point! The menu is flourishing every day, and our creative mastermind (Ada, DEFINITELY not me) is hard at work in our witchy kitchen. We also received our first order of brand new releases on vinyl, so we will have every weeks biggest titles at prices that feel great, and sustainable. Also, pictured are our new (first run) T-shirts and Sweatshirts that you’ll find at our shop. We even have our first listening party booked in May (more on that soon).

Thanks so much for your patience with us, and thank you so much for your continued excitement about our shop. It’s safe to say that I’m not sure we would still be going forward if not for the incredible feedback

All our love, and we will see you very soon!
