Supporting our Community
Community is literally our middle name. Central to our mission is contributing to a healthy, sustainable community. Our co-op is deeply interwoven in our community.
Throughout the year, we contribute resources that build vibrancy and improve the quality of life in our community. In addition to providing healthy, natural foods to Franklin County residents since 1977, we work with other community members to improve access to local and healthy food and to help everyone in our community thrive. We collaborate with or are members of over 30 community partners, farmers, food security organizations, and other co-operatives. We are all part of our vibrant food system.
Through our work with these organizations, we support efforts to provide community education and resources around food and food systems, sustainability and the health of those systems, and worker/community education and empowerment around these issues. These organizations also work to increase support for and agency of marginalized communities in the local food system and community.
