We pride ourselves on providing delicious foods and products sourced locally from our community as often as possible. We buy from over 169 local producers and carry over 2,110 local products in our stores.
We support local farmers and producers as often as we can because that’s how we help sustain and support our local economy and our community. From the ingredients we use in our bakery and deli, to our fresh produce selection, we love local, all year long.
Our in-store bakery is known for freshly made bread, pies, and a wide assortment of pastries, croissants, bagels, scones, cookies, and bars. All made from scratch and baked daily. Each of our stores has an extensive selection of cheese, including cheese from local producers, imported cheese, and farmer cooperatives like Cabot, Organic Valley, Jarlsberg and Gjetost. Both stores feature cow, goat, and sheep-milk cheese. Looking for dairy-free cheese? Check out our vegan options, including nut, soy, and plant-based cheeses.
Got milk (and butter and yogurt)? We’ve got delicious dairy products with an eye to supporting our local and regional dairy farms. We stock cow, goat, and plant-based vegan dairy options at both of our stores, along with fresh eggs.
Don’t miss our monthly Cave to Co-op specials! Each month we feature New England cheese offered at a special price through a partnership of regional artisan cheese makers, our cheese supplier Provisions International Ltd., and the Neighboring Food Co-op Association, a cooperative of over twenty co-ops in New England, including Franklin Community Cooperative. Look for the “Cave to Co-op” sign in the cheese case for the featured cheese of the month, offered at a special low price — usually 25-50% below the regular retail price. It’s a great way to try some outstanding regional cheeses at lower than usual prices.
Every day, our kitchen and deli staff pride themselves on making and serving fresh, from scratch healthy foods for our customers. When we say “made from scratch” we mean it. Our award-winning sandwiches, delicious salads, and daily soups (3 options every day!) are made fresh at Green Fields Market. Looking for something quick? Our grab n’ go cases have hot and cold sandwiches, rotisserie chickens, salads, entrees, side dishes, and desserts. The Green Fields Market hot bar features meat and vegetarian entrees, a variety of side dishes, and daily rice and beans. Whether you’re looking for a snack or a meal for your whole family, we’ve got you covered.
